Senior QA Test Engineer
End Client: NASDAQ Location Philadelphia, PA Expected pay rate $55.00 per hour Schedule Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, Hybrid (2 days per week in office) Assignment length 12 month contract Job description Our company is helping a leading fintech firm hire a Senior QA Test Engineer to provide expertise, experience and guidance with focus on build out and execution of Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud infrastructure. This will include automation of the company’s most critical user interfaces using either Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright. In this role, you’ll handle all inbound customer inquiries to provide customer service to internal/external customers related to assigned areas. You will provide automated/manual functional testing of high visibility products. You will help design QA test plans for new projects and ensure that testing procedures are consistently followed. You will use tools to report issues and consistently track status using Jira and Confluence. The ideal candidate will bring an ample degree of financial services industry knowledge to the position, which will help implement a testing methodology maximized to the needs of the group. This person has the ability to adapt and execute in a dynamic environment, adjusting appropriately to changes to business, resource, or product priorities. As Senior QA Test Engineer, you will: Perform automated/manual QA testing of Amazon Web Services cloud setup, configuration and execution. Perform automated/manual business functional testing of the company’s core trading system features. Write, review and update product QA test plans, test cases, automated test scripts and scenarios using Confluence and standard documentation (e.g. Word, Excel, etc.) methods. All tiers of testing – manual, automated, front-end and back-end. Execute test plans, automated test scripts and test cases to ensure that software meets/exceeds specified standards, development specifications and/or client requirements. Report bugs and track status using Jira and Confluence. Work closely with development, product development and operations departments to ensure quality and timely services are delivered to clients. Requirements 5+ years experience with QA testing or related functions Demonstrate a strong working knowledge and hands-on experience using Amazon Web Services Demonstrate a strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with automation frameworks and tools i.e. Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright Experience with LINUX command-line environments Experience with financial industry messaging protocols (ie: FIX) Superior organizational skills Excellent written/verbal communication skills Strong analysis and autonomous problem discovery and solving skills Strong attention to detail and a creative thinker Self-motivated (self-starter) and intellectually curious Experience with Java and JavaScript programming is preferred Degree in Computer Science or Information Management is preferred Commitment:This is a full-time (40 hours per week), 12-month contract position.
