The Class C Driver reports to the Operations Manager and supports the operations department in the performance of daily activities in the operating commercial vehicles up to 26-foot to perform pick-ups, deliveries and recoveries of freight in a time-sensitive and professional manner. The Class C Driver maintains accurate, up-to-date records such as Vehicle Inspection Reports, daily manifests, and incident reports. The Class C Driver is responsible for loading and unloading freight and for reporting accurate dimensions and weight of freight. The Class C Driver must comply with all laws and regulations relating to driving, transport and handling of freight including those issued by but limited to The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Department of Transportation (DOT), and Transportation Safety Administration (TSA). Job Qualifications Title Job Qualifications 1. High School diploma or GED preferred. 2. Valid Class C Drivers License. 3. Must be at least 23 years of age. 4. Minimum of one (1) year commercial driving experience. 5. Clean DMV record (no serious moving violations in the past 5 years) 6. Valid DOT Medical Card or the ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment. 7. Knowledge of federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations. 8. Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA laws and regulations, preferred. 9. Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) certification, preferred. 10.
